The Opening Ceremony of China (Shanghai) Network Audiovisual Industry Base Grandly Held

At 9:00 a.m. of December 22, 2010, China (Shanghai) Network Audiovisual Industry Forum and the Opening Ceremony of China (Shanghai) Network Audiovisual Industry Base were solemnly held at Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongqiao. Yonglei Zhu,director of Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV, presided over the ceremony. Jin Tian, deputy chief of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, Guangshao Tu, Standing Commissioner of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shanghai and Zhenwu Yang, Standing Commissioner and head of the Publicity Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee jointly inaugurated the base. Relevant leaders from Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Zizhu Science Park etc. attended the ceremony.

The leaders witnessed the contract signing ceremony between the base and the enterprises to be settled down in the base. On behalf of the base, Guang Xia, general manager of Shanghai Zizhu Digital Innovation Hub Co., Ltd, signed Cooperation Contracts with ten Shanghai Local network audiovisual companies. Thereafter, Xia also signed Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with Liang Zeng, vice president of Microsoft Greater China Region, to promote cooperation in the field of information industry, cloud computing and intellectual property right protection.

China (Shanghai) network audiovisual industry base is a key step in building Shanghai into an international culture metropolis in Shanghai’s Twelfth Plan. With the supports from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and Shanghai Municipal Government, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV and Shanghai Zizhu Science Park will strive to build the base into an audiovisual industry gathering area with an annual output value of RMB 20,000,000,000 in five years, thus providing demonstration effect for the network audiovisual industry in China and establishing Shanghai's leading position in this domain in the world.
