On the morning of July 18, 2025, the Private Orchid Lake Basic Education Park welcomed representatives from the school organizers, school authorities and project participants to celebrate the phased achievements together. Shen Wen, Chairman of Zijiang Group and founder of Shanghai Sunward Bilingual School and Senior High School; Guo Feng, Vice Chairman of Zijiang Group; Hu Bing and Tang Jifeng, Vice Presidents of Zijiang Group; Lu Weiwu, Vice General Manager of Zizhu High-Tech Park and Ge Shunyong, Principal of Shanghai Sunward Bilingual School jointly Planted a ginkgo tree in the central square, symbolizing planting trees and educating people.

The private Orchid Lake Basic Education Park started construction on October 18, 2023, adopting the "one campus, two schools" model, covering Shanghai Sunward Bilingual School (grades 1-9) and the Private Sunward Zizhu Senior High School (grades 10-12), committed to building a modern basic education cluster for all ages in K12.

The campus facilities are complete. In addition to four teaching buildings, there are also independent art centers, sports centers, activity centers, comprehensive buildings, libraries, South Sports Stadium and North Sports Stadium. There are also two student apartments to meet the diverse needs of students.

On the same day, the school motto of the bilingual school and senior high school was officially announced - "Ask to Learn and Set Sail, Cultivate Virtue to Achieve Greatness". It carries the educational philosophy of the organizers and will continue and inherit the unique cultural identity of the school to create century old prestigious school. In order to deeply imprint the school motto in the hearts of every student, the campus has named four teaching buildings as "Qihang Building", "Wenxue Building", "Mingde Building" and "Zhiyuan Building".

At present, the surrounding roads have been basically completed. The main entrance of the park (two schools) is located at No. 88, East Orchid Lake Road, Minhang District. The east entrance of the senior high school is located at No. 111 Sizuijiao  Road, Minhang District. The east entrance of the bilingual school is located at No. 181 Sizuijiao Road, Minhang District. The student apartments (East Peak and West Peak) are located at No. 3, Yuhou Road, Minhang District.

With the successful completion of various construction in the park, nearly 1700 students and faculty members of Shanghai Sunward Bilingual School will move into the new campus on September 1st.
