The Piling Ceremony of Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub Held Successfully

The piling ceremony of Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub was held on the morning of Oct. 26th, 2011. Shen Wen, the board chairman and president of Zijiang Group, Hu Bing, the vice president of Zijiang Group and general manager of Shanghai Zizhu Town Development Co., Ltd, Peng Shenghao, the general manager of Shanghai Zidu Real Estate Co., Ltd and Shanghai Zizhu Peninsula Real Estate Co., Ltd, Xia Guang, the executive deputy general manager of Shanghai Zizhu Hi-tech Zone (Group) Co., Ltd. and other relevant leaders were present at the ceremony to witness the historic moment.

Lan Zhengkai, the vice GM of Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub Co., Ltd. and Feng Jiatai, the project contractor delivered speeches. Board Chairman Shen Wen dotted the dancing lion to launch the project. Xia Guang, the general manager of Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub Co., Ltd, announced that the construction officially started.

As one of the three main projects in Shanghai’s cultural industry in the 12th-five-year-plan, Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub is one of the main construction projects in 2011 as well. On Feb. 21st, 2010, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television approved the co-construction by Shanghai Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and Television and Zizhu Hi-tech Zone. On Dec. 22nd of the same year, China (Shanghai) network audio visual industry base formally established.

With a total construction area of 400,000 square meters,Shanghai Zizhu Digital Creativity Hub occupies an area of 146,740 square meters, including a theme plaza, a theme axis, a new digital media R&D area, a comprehensive buildings area and a supporting service area. The Hub will form an industrial chain including content production, transmission, R&D, product innovation, and telecom services.

The piling ceremony indicates the starting of the first national network audio-visual industry base in China. In five to ten years, the Hub will become an international first-class cultural and creative industry base with annual revenue of over 20 billion RMB and tax of over 3 billion.
