Scientific research instruments and equipment are necessary conditions for technological innovation and important tools for cultivating and developing new quality productive forces. In order to promote the open sharing of scientific research instruments among enterprises in Zizhu High-Tech Park and reduce the duplication of equipment purchases, Zizhu Chamber of Commerce held 2024 fourth fellowship activity and "Zizhu National High-Tech Park Enterprise Laboratory Sharing Service Manual" (2024 version) release conference at Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences on the afternoon of November 6, 2024.

A total of 40 persons including Wei Yiye, Deputy Secretary General of Zizhu Chamber of Commerce, Zhang Lisheng, Deputy Director of Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the heads of Zizhu Business Incubator, Zizhu Venture Capital Company as well as more than 30 representatives from enterprises and news media participated in the event.

At the book donation ceremony, Secretary General Wei presented the "Manual" to more than 30 companies including Coca Cola, BorgWarner, CGN, the State Nuclear Power, COMAC Customer Service, China Aviation Radio Electronic Research Institute, Shanghai Electric Wind Power, Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute, ExxonMobil, Toray, PNC and Shenlian Biotechnology.

Mr. Zhang Lisheng, Deputy Director of Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute, introduced the development history of the Institute as well as the management, application and external sharing experience of the institute's large-scale scientific research instruments and equipment. He expressed his willingness to work with enterprises in Zizhu to promote the sharing of high-value instruments and equipment and contribute to scientific and technological innovation in Zizhu High-Tech Park.

Mr. Zhao Yi, General Manager of Denkei Technology R&D (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., introduced the company's development in Zizhu and its main business: testing and inspection of components and parts for fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles. As a professional testing company, Denkei company has a wide range of testing equipment. The laboratory sharing platform built by Zizhu Chamber of Commerce allows more enterprises to understand the business of Denkei. The company has already established business cooperation with several enterprises in Zizhu.

Mr. Zhang Hanzhi, Director of Quality Analysis Technology Center of Abiochem, said that in the early days, the company used other companies' instruments and equipment to complete multiple experiments through Zizhu Instrument and Equipment Sharing Platform, saving valuable funds for business development. At present, the company has grown and established multiple production bases and purchased a large number of instruments and equipment. The company is willing to share its instruments and equipment with other related enterprises to help startups grow.

After the book donation ceremony, the company representative visited the laboratory of Shanghai Veterinary Research Institute and had a close-up view of the institute's large, precise and high-end experimental equipment. They discussed the development trends of the testing industry with the laboratory leader and deepened their understanding and cooperation through interactive communication.

Based on the concept of "co-construction and sharing", Zizhu Chamber of Commerce initiated the member enterprise testing (instrument) equipment resource sharing platform club and compiled "Zizhu National High-Tech Park Enterprise Testing (Instrument) Equipment Sharing Service Manual" and "Zizhu National High-Tech Park Enterprise Laboratory Sharing Service Manual" in 2012. The two manuals were subsequently updated several times, aiming to transform each unique instrument of different enterprises into a sharing public resource, so that enterprises with instrument usage needs can "find" it and idle scientific research instruments can "get busy". The utilization and sharing rate of scientific research instruments in enterprises were greatly improved, effectively helping enterprises reduce costs and burdens and increase efficiency.

With the development of technology, Zizhu Chamber of Commerce collected the information of the existing laboratory resources of the enterprises in Zizhu in October 2024 to enable enterprises to easily find the latest laboratory resources and meet their needs for testing and experimentation. A total of 14 enterprise laboratory resources were collected, including 8 at the national level, 2 at the municipal level and 4 at the enterprise level, providing 339 sharing testing (instrument) equipment with a total value of over 1 billion yuan, covering fields such as aviation technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy, new materials, biomedicine, information and communication. Zizhu Chamber of Commerce compiled and printed "Zizhu National High-Tech Park Enterprise Laboratory Sharing Service Manual" (2024 edition), which includes a record high number and value of enterprise laboratories, instruments and equipment. The instruments and equipment cover more fields with new technical performance than ever.

The Manual will be distributed to science and technology enterprises in Zizhu, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, "innovative enterprises and startups" to effectively integrate enterprise scientific research resources, promote the deep integration of enterprise innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain and talent chain, revitalize the stock of enterprise scientific research resources, optimize the allocation of scientific research resources, unleash the potential of scientific research resource services. The manual will keep the scientific research instruments "busy", allow innovative achievements to "surge", inject new momentum into the development of new quality productivity in Zizhu and better serve the construction of Shanghai Southern Science and Technology Innovation Center.
