The groundbreaking ceremony of the new avionics industry base of China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute was grandly held in Zizhu High-Tech Park on the morning of September 28, 2023.

Deng Pingyu, the Deputy General Manager of AVIC Airborne System Co., Ltd., pointed out in his speech that the construction of the new base is an important layout for the airborne company and China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute to implement the strategic deployment of AIVC to build a high standard and high-level aviation electronics innovation highland and create a world-class airborne system supplier. Deng Pingyu Hopes that China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute aims the goal of “building the new strategic national aviation electronics strength and the world class aviation electronics system supplier”, give full play to the organizational advantages of airborne cabin system unit, promote collaborative innovation to build the new base into a technological innovation source of aviation electronics and speed up the self-reliance process of aviation electronics technology.

Deng Yindong, the Deputy General Manager of the Aviation Industry Planning Institute, stated in his speech that the institute will adhere to the design concept of creating a "flexible process layout, intensive and efficient innovation environment, modern and advanced office space, green and ecological low-carbon park and cooperative and shared humanistic care" for the construction of the new base, and implement the principles of intensive, efficient, intelligent and flexible planning and design. The new avionics industry base is located in Zizhu High-Tech Park in Minhang District, Shanghai. With an overall planned construction area of about 240000 square meters and a total investment of RMB 2 billion, the new base will greatly enhance the research and development capabilities in complex systems and the cutting-edge technological innovation and the rapid development of emerging industries. It will also enhance the collaborative research and development capabilities with upstream and downstream of the industrial chain and universities, thus helping China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute achieve new improvements in the comprehensive competitiveness.
