Chrysler Officially Settles down in Zizhu Digital Hub

On January 12, 2009, Chrysler Asia-Pacific Investment Co., Ltd. settled down on the 4th floor of Digital Hub Building 3 as planned. 220 Workers mainly from engineering and procurement center started their first day of working and life in Zizhu.

With a registered capital of USD 30,000,000, Chrysler Asia-Pacific Investment Co., Ltd is the first corporate entity functioning as the Asia-Pacific regional headquarters invested by US Chrysler Auto Corporation. The establishment of the regional headquarters demonstrates its strategic plan to expand Asia-Pacific market in an all-round way while maintaining China as its core market. Chrysler has also become the fifth Multinational Company among Fortune 500 companies which has established its Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park.

During the celebration luncheon, Chrysler expressed its heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Zizhu for the support and cooperation in the project negotiations and office decoration work. Despite the severe impact brought by the financial turmoil in 2008 on US auto industry, Chrysler displayed its five new models of cars on the North American International Auto Exhibitions held in Detroit on January 11, 2009. This shows its determination to develop and industrialize advanced electric vehicles. Chrysler believes that with the improvement of the financial environment, its business in Asia-Pacific region is bound to expand with its new platform in Zizhu.
