On Nov. 8 2006, the signing ceremony for new projects of Coca-cola (China) Co., Ltd. launching in Zizhu Science-based Park was hold at Shanghai Marriot Hotel. Sincere guests attended this ceremony, including Deputy Head of Shanghai Foreign Economic Relation and Trade Commission Liu Jinping, Head of Minhang District Chen Jing, Vice Head of Minhang District Zhang Wenyue, Board Chairman of Coca-Cola (China) Co., Ltd. Chen Weiqi, President of Coca-Cola (China) Beverages Ltd. Paul Etchells, Board Chairman and President of Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park, Shen Wen. Mr. Chen Weiqi representing Coca-Cola, and Mr. Shen Wen representing Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park, signed the agreement and Vice Head of Minhang District Zhang Wenyue representing Minhang District Government, witnessed the whole ceremony. 

Coca-cola (China) Co., Limited proposed to invest in Zizhu and set up its concentrated liquid plant, regional headquarter, Asia-Pacific R&D center and global sample testing center. The whole project would cover an area of 185 Mu. As an important part of its global development strategy, this was another significant step for Coca-cola. Also, it would stimulate the approach of “ prospering the city by science and education” for Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park, which would take an important role in building the incubator center in park for Shanghai or even national wide. 

Head of Minhang District Mr. Chen congratulated Zizhu Park and said Coca-cola showed great foresight on the investment. He also deemed Zizhu Science-based Park’s advanced idea, perfect infrastructure and the ecological environment would fulfill Coca-cola’s needs, which would make a win-win situation.
