Contract Signing, Groundbreaking and Completion Ceremony of Major Projects Grandly Held in Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park - Zizhu National High-Tech Industrial Development Park

With a view to carrying out the ten moves by the Central Authorities and the eight specific measures by Shanghai Municipal Government to speed up industrial investment, Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park held a Contract Signing, Groundbreaking and Completion Ceremony of Major Projects at Coca-Cola’s newly-finished office building on December 16, 2008. Zheng Han, Shanghai Mayor and deputy secretary of the CPC Shanghai municipal Committee sent a congratulatory letter to the ceremony. Yungeng Liu, director of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, Baojun Ai, vice mayor of Shanghai and some other leaders attended the ceremony.

Minhang District Chief Jing Chen delivered a speech. Wen Shen, board director and general manager of the Park and over 200 representatives from the project-related companies and their construction companies attended the ceremony. Before the ceremony, Yungeng Liu and other leaders met with the representatives to the ceremony, encouraging them to make their due contributions to the healthy development of China's economy with the strong support from governments at various levels and related sectors.

At the ceremony, Zhaozhu Liang, general manager of Intel Asia-Pacific R&D Co., Ltd, Ling zhou, executive VP of Googol Technology (HK) Limited, Binbin Ge, board chairman and GM of Kuyin Software and Paul Theys, director of board of Exxon Mobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd respectively signed investment agreement and land use right transfer contract with executive VP of the Park Guang Xia and Minhang Housing and Land Administration director Jianyuan Yu.

Yungeng Liu presented the “Golden Key” which represents the completion of a project to Qiwei Chen, board director of Coca-Cola China Co., Ltd, Wei’en Xie, GM of Server Development Tools Department of Microsoft China R&D Group, Jun Ge, executive director of Intel China Co., Ltd, Philip Murtaugh, CEO of Chrysler Asia-Pacific, Masaaki Takahashi, general manager of Keihin Electronic, Bin Li, general manager of Gene Technology, Jingqiu Li, deputy general manager of Xinhua Automation and Xinkan Zhao, deputy general manager of Solar Energy. Weiqi Chen delivered a speech on behalf of these companies.

Tao Zhang, GM of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd, Bo Xin, vice chairman of Neusoft Group and GM of Neusoft Group (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, Jianhua Ji, project supervisor of E+H Phase Two Project and Di Wang, executive supervisor of Pujiang Forest Peninsula Phase One Project jointly pushed down the “photoelectricity column” representing the commencement of the new projects together with government leaders from Shanghai Municipal Government and Minhang District Government.

After the ceremony, vice-governor of Minhang District Xiangmin Chen and board chairman of the Park Wen Shen and other leaders laid the cornerstone for China Nuclear Power Engineering with its top managers.

16 major projects with a total investment of 6 billion RMB is under construction in the Park this year. In accordance with the investment agreement signing, groundbreaking and completion of these projects, Shanghai Municipal Government and Minhang District Government are adopting effective measures and creating more relaxed environment to support the development of modern service industry and high-end industries so as to help businesses overcome the temporary difficulties and ensure the stable and rapid economic development in Shanghai and the constant improvement of people’s living standard.
