On the morning of May 21, Han Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government met with the delegation headed by NR Narayana Murthy, chairman of Infosys Technologies Ltd. Mayor Han stated in the interview that Shanghai municipal government had been working hard to create a more favorable business environment and investment environment, and fully support the outstanding enterprises home and abroad to achieve better development in Shanghai. He congratulated Infosys Technologies Ltd. on the success achieved in China during the past years, and hoped that Infosys would further cooperate with the authorities concerned in Shanghai. Subsequently, Feng Guoqing, chairman of CPPCC Shanghai, Sha Hailin, deputy secretary general of the municipal government and director of Municipal Commission of Commerce, S. Jaishankar, the Indian ambassador to China, Mo Fuchun, deputy secretary of Minhang District Party Committee and governor of Minhang District, Shao Zhiqing, deputy director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization , Huang Feng, deputy director of Municipal Commission of Commerce, Cheng Xiangmin, deputy governor of Minhang District, , Shen Wen, president and GM of Zizhu, and Xia Guang, executive deputy GM of Zizhu, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Infosys Shanghai park project covers 91 mu, with a total investment of 0.15 billion USD. After the completion of the Shanghai park project, it will be the largest software development center overseas with more than 8,000 software developers, and India's largest investment project in China so far.
