The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy. The Reform Office and the Propaganda Department of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee carried out the collection of "landmark innovative cases in the reform and opening-up of Shanghai" to implement Xi Jinpings Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of CPC 19th National Congress, summarize the practice and the significant achievement of the reform and opening up in Shanghai in the past 40 years and carry forward the pioneering spirit. The "landmark in-novative cases in the reform and opening-up of Shanghai" was released on October 17. They reappeared the vivid pictures of the reform and opening up of various industries and sectors in different periods in Shanghai over the past 40 years. "Zizhu National Hi-tech Park: the First Hi-tech Park in China developed by a private enterprise” was included in the 40 cases with ch-aracteristics of the times and the features of Shanghai out of the 358 cases with more than 1.4 million words after three rounds of selection. It is also the only case in Minhang District.

Sticking to the initial target and function orientation and attaching great importance to the development mea-sures in accordance with its own characteristics, Zizhu Hi-tech Park has established and improved its innovation systems with obvious industrial ag-glomeration effect. The new type of a science town has come into being. Zizhu Hi-tech Park has played a positive and important role in social and economic development and regional urbanization.

As a national Hi-tech Park operated by a private enterprise, Zizhu Hi-tech Park adheres to system and mechanism innovation and market operation, improves the service awareness, promotes the trans-formations of management function, improves the production and living facilities and builds the city-industry integrated park. The successful practice provides experience for other industrial parks.

The construction results and the experience of Zizhu Hi-tech Park attracted wide attention from major municipal-level medias on July 20, 2018. This caused strong social response.
