Shanghai Municipal Government and Aviation Industry Corporation of China Agree to Build a Civil Aircraft Avionics Industry Base in Zizhu Park

On July 12, 2010, Shanghai Municipal Government and Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) signed a framework agreement on jointly developing civil aircraft avionics industry. Large aircraft project is the strategy of CPC Central Committee and the State Council to improve the country’s capacity for independent innovation and enhance core competitiveness. To implement this strategy, the two parties decided to build a civil aircraft avionics industry base in Zizhu Park.

Zhengsheng Yu, commissioner of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and the Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, Zheng Han, deputy Secretary and Mayor of Shanghai, Wei Miao, deputy minister of Industry and Information Technology, Qingwei Zhang, board director of AVIC, Wen Shen, president and general manager of Zizhu Park, Guang Xia, executive deputy general manager and other relevant leaders attended the signing ceremony. AVIC Deputy General manager Xinguo Zhang presided over the ceremony.

At the Ceremony, Shanghai Municipal Government and AVIC signed a framework agreement on jointly developing civil aircraft avionics industry. AVIC Avionics Systems Co., Ltd., Shanghai Minhang District People's Government and Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park signed an agreement on industrializing civil aircraft avionics project. AVIC Avionics Systems Co., Ltd. and other five companies signed a cooperative agreement on establishing a civil aircraft avionics company. Shanghai Mayor Zheng Han and other leaders delivered speeches at the signing ceremony.

The new joint venture, co-established by AVIC and other five enterprises from Shanghai and Shandong Province, will be registered in Zizhu Park.
