On the morning of 20 Dec. 2007, the completion ceremony of Customer Supporting Center of AVIC1 Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai Zizhu Science-base Industrial Park. Mr. Yanzhao Hu, vice mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, Mr. Bo Zhou, vice secretary general of Shanghai Municipal Government, Mr. Jian Wang, director of Shanghai Economic Committee, Mr. Zuoming Lin, GM of AVIC1, Mr. Yuhai Li, vice GM of AVIC1, Mr. Ronghuai Luo, GM assistant of AVIC1 & GM of AVIC1 Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd., Mr. Xiaoqing Cai, vice warden of Minhang district government, Mr. Wen Shen, board chairman & GM of Shanghai Zizhu Science-Based Industrial Park, and the leaders from General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, Civil Aviation East China Administration, attended the ceremony.

With building area of 21834 sq. m., the new-opened Customer Supporting Center consists of Customers Training Center and Spare Parts Supporting Center. Customers Training Center provides initial training on ARJ21 flying, locomotive, dispatch, crew, and the training on aircraft type transformation. Spare Parts Supporting Center is composed of cubic house system, spare parts handling equipment, spare parts packaging equipment and spare parts service management system, to offer 24 hours spare parts supporting and service. It is by far the largest and most full-equipped civil aircraft Customer Supporting Center at home, integrating customer training, spare parts service and network customer service together.

The new regional jet ARJ21, the turbofan jet of 70-100 seats, with maximum range of 2000 miles, is the first new type turbofan regional jet with proprietary intellectual property rights in our country. The planning and construction of Customer Supporting Center has abided entirely by the Standard on Civil Aviation Sustained Airworthiness, and the Requirement on Flight Route Operation of the Airlines.
