In the afternoon of November 9,2005, National Tissue Engineering Research Center ( namely Shanghai Guorui Life Science Technology Co. Ltd) holds a grand foundation-laying ceremony in Zizhu Park. Mr. Yu Guosheng, the vice secretary general of Shanghai Science and Education Committee, Mr. Chen Ying the vice director of Shanghai Development and Reformation Committee, Mr. Xie Shenwu, the principal of Jiaotong University, Ms. Zhang Cheng, the vice district governor, Mr. Chen Yong, the vice general manager of Zizhu and other guests attend the ceremony.

National Tissue Engineering Research Center is established in May2005. Its total space is 37 MU. It is a national key projects, the key science project of Shanghai Science and Education Development Strategy, the key construction project of Shanghai. It is a world class platform for the development and research of tissue engineering and its application. It has made breakthrough in the structure of bone, soft bone, muscle, skin, blood vessel, and cornea etc.
