The new campus of China Aeronautical Radio Electronics Research Institute was put into use on December 21, 2012. The opening ceremony was held on December 27, 2012.

Party secretary Wang Jinyan presided over the ceremony. Representatives from AVIC Avionics Systems Company, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, AVIC Planning and Construction Co., Ltd., AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd., the armies, Shanghai Zizhu Hi-tech Zone, Shanghai Aircraft Customer Service Center, Shanghai Aviation Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. and AVIC Civil avionics Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony.

The director of the institute Wang Guoqing reviewed the construction process, saying that the opening of the new campus was a milestone in the development of the institute. It would fully meet the demand for business expansion. He said that the institute would continue to carry out infrastructure construction and create first-class military avionics production environment to hatch and strengthen civil aircraft avionics and aeronautical radio industries. Deeply rooted at Zizhu National Hi-tech Zone, the institute will strive to build itself into a leading and internationally renowned research institute.

Shen Shungao, vice general manager of AVIC Planning and Construction Co., Ltd. gave a speech on behalf of the construction party. Wang Xiaoming, the vice general manager of AVIC Avionics Systems Company expressed congratulations on the opening of the campus.
