5th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony of Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park - Zizhu National High-Tech Industrial Development Park

June 25th 2007, Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park grandly held its 5th anniversary celebration ceremony of establishment. Distinguished guests attended this ceremony, including Executive Vice Major of Shanghai Municipality Feng Guoqin, Secretary of CCPC of Shanghai Jiaotong University Ma Dexiu, Secretary of CCPC of Minhang District, Deputy Head of Minhang District, Chairman and General Manager of Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park Shen Wen and Vice Secretary of CCPC of East China Normal University Luo Guozhen. More than 280 guests from committees and offices of Shanghai Municipality and Minhang District, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Zijiang Group and companies inside of Zizhu Park, gathered together and looked back to the 5-year development history of Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park.

Secretary of CCPC of Minhang District, Sun Chao gave an important speech. He put a premium on Zizhu Park’s development during its 5 years establishment path, especially in aspect of development mode of 3-zone interaction, positive introduction of talents and intelligence resources from universities, and other achievements of the commercialization of research findings, high-level talents training and incubation of hi-tech companies. He also hoped in the future Zizhu would use full advantages of talents resources and technology, keep tech innovation level worldwide advanced and became an incubator center for national self-innovation strategic industry in the next round.

Since Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park established five years ago, it had attracted total contracted foreign capital around $3billion, domestic capital more than RMB 4billion and all kinds of intent investment more than $5billion. Besides those multinational R&D and regional headquarters of Intel sector, Microsoft sector and ST sector, Zizhu Park also attracted many state-level R&D centers, such as National Tissue Engineering Research and Development Center, National Veterinary R&D Center, National Nano Technology and Application Research Center and National Solar Energy Engineering Technology Research Center etc. According to the development plan, Shanghai Zizhu Park would have attracted total investment $10billion, 50 world top-500 companies’ R&D centers and 100 domestic technology companies with advanced technology innovation ability by 2010. What’s more, the signing ceremonies were held during this celebration ceremony, which were the signing ceremony of BorgWarner China R&D and Holding Company and Shanghai R&D Center of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co., Ltd., and the signing ceremony of strategetic cooperation of setting up ICDC public service platform between Synopsys and Zizhu Park.
