March 29, 2007, in the corner greenbelt of South Lianhua Road and Dongchuan Road, Inter Asia-Pacific R&D Ltd. held the opening ceremony for Intel Loving Greening Protection Base, supported by Agriculture and Greening Administration of Minhang District and Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park. The Vice President of Intel Ltd. and General Manager of Intel Asia-Pacific R&D Ltd. Wang Wenhan, Chief Deputy Recorder of Party Committee Yan Jun and Vice President of Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park Chen Yong were present and made speeches. More than sixty employees from Intel took part in this event and Chief Deputy Recorder Yan Jun awarded National Voluntary Tree-planting Memorial Certificate to the representative of Intel Volunteers. What’s more, Intel made a donation to Zizhu Park to use for Park’s greening and protection.
As one representative of excellent companies, Intel actively supported local communities’ environment protection and paid lots attentions to youth environment protection consciousness. In every Arbor Day, Earth Day and World Environment Day, Intel organized employees and local citizen together to attend environment protection activities. This year, cooperating with Agriculture and Greening Administration of Minhang District and Zizhu Park, Intel organized its employee volunteers to take part in greening construction of Minhang District in Arbor Day, making an good example of company attending social services of greening construction, protection and care. It created a harmonious greening construction environment among companies, Park and citizen, and also enhanced the interactions among companies, government and Park in terms of environment construction and social services.
