On the afternoon of June 10, some of the standing commissioners of CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee led by Chairman Guoqing Feng made a field investigation on “self-innovation and high-tech industry development" at Zizhu Park. The leaders inspected Shenlian biomedical (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Solar Energy Research Center, Coca-Cola (China) Investment Co., Ltd & China Headquarters Park and Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park. 

Guoqing Feng remarked that, currently and in the 12th five-year-plan period, Shanghai was at the critical stage of making substantive breakthroughs in transforming economic development mode. It is imperative to develope strategic new industries. He hoped that Zizhu Park could constantly strengthen independent innovation capacity and promote the combination of scientific research, technological innovation and industrial development, invigorate the private Small and Medium-sized enterprises to capture business opportunities in the low-carbon economic development. He said that CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee would create favorable conditions for the commissioners’ participation in government affaires so as to give full play to their wisdom in the independent innovation and high-tech industrialization in Shanghai.

Daijie Chen and other Standing Commissioners suggested strengthening research efforts in the application and manufacturing technology of new energy industries and focusing on diversified development, promoting the rapid development of independent innovation in the Park by giving play to the alliances of production, teaching and research and formulating preferential policies to attract hi-tech talents to the Park.
