Delegation from Corkcity of Ireland, led by Lord Mayor, Mr. Cllr Colm Burke, visited Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park on the afternoon of Feb.16.
The meeting between two parties covered various fields in a friendly atmosphere. Firstly, vice president of Zizhu Park, Mr. Liu Xun generally introduced the blueprint and development of the park. Then he explained many questions raised by the delegation.
Mr. Mayor extended his congratulation to the park for its great achievements and also his expectation to establish cooperative relationship with Zizhu Park in high-tech filed, for instance, IC Design, Biology Projects, etc.
As the second largest city of Ireland, Corkcity has advanced telecommunication industry and top-ranking R&D centers as well. The delegation consists of chairman of Chamber of Commerce, entrepreneurs, executive manager of Ireland Microelectronics Research Center except for the lord mayor.
