India's Largest Software Company Settled down in Zizhu Park

At 14:00 on December 28, 2010, Guang Xia, executive vice president of Shanghai Zizhu Science Park, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Executive Director and CEO-designate of Infosys Technology Co., Ltd. at the Conference Hall of Infosys Headquarters in Bangalore, India. As the largest software company in India and one of the world's top 500 information technology consulting services provider, Infosys enjoys a market value of over 40 billion U.S. dollars. With a sales revenue of over 6 billion U.S. dollars In 2010, it boasts more than 125,000 employees in 72 cities in 30 countries. Its business covers finance, aerospace, automotive, life sciences and communications services. Among the Fortune 500 companies, nearly 400 are its customers.

After seven rounds of tough negotiations in nearly a year, the Board of Directors of Infosys finally decided to set up a wholly foreign-owned enterprise at Zizhu Park. With an investment of 180 million U.S. dollars (Phase One) and a construction area of 120,000 square meters, the project, India's largest investment in China so far, is expected to be launched in April 2011. After completion, 7500 R & D engineers will work in the company.

Vice President of Zizhu Park Yong Chen and Engineering Supervisor Weiwu Lu attended the signing ceremony. The delegation was also invited to visit Infosys software training center in Mansour.
