Land Use Right Transfer Contract Signed with China Nuclear Power Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd

At 6:00 p.m., July 8, 2008, the land use right transfer contract with China Nuclear Power Engineering (Shanghai) Co., Ltd was officially signed in Hongqiao State Guest Hotel Shanghai. Yun Gao,vice director of Shanghai Economic Committee, Hefu Li, director of Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, Xiaoqing Cai, deputy chief of Minhang District, Ping Ding, vice director of Minhang Development and Reform Commission, Yifan Xu,  vice director of Minhang Economic Commission, Dongshan Zheng, vice president of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group and Guang Xia, executive VP of Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park attended the signing ceremony. Jianyuan Yu, chief of Minhang Housing, Land and Resources Administration Bureau and Tao Zhang, vice president of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd signed the contract.

With a total investment of RMB 550 million, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group plans to build a nuclear power technology R&D base with complete function encompassing a R&D office building, an industrialization center, a procurement center for complete sets of equipment, an ancillary supporting center, underground auxiliary facilities and a parking lot in Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park. With the R&D base, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group will better cultivate and enhance the Group’s core competitiveness and develop nuclear power market in East China. Thus, it would be able to vigorously support China’s national nuclear power development strategy and make contributions to the development of nuclear power industry in Shanghai by laying a solid foundation for the localization and self-dependence of nuclear power industry.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. Ltd, China Nuclear Power Engineering (Shanghai) Co. Ltd specializes in nuclear power technology development, transfer, consultancy, project survey, design, counseling, management and other technical services. The R&D base is expected to be completed and put into use in 2010.
