In the afternoon of 12th, Sep., Mr. Yang Xiong, Vice Mayor of Shanghai, visited the sample section (1.1 km) of Zizhu’s Scenic Ring, which was finished at the beginning of this year. Accompanied by Mr. Wang Hongquan, Minhang District Governor and leaders of Zizhu, Mr. Yang saw about the virescence construction engineering of Zizhu Park.

Firstly, Mr. Yang listened to the report of Zizhu’ whole virescence construction, and enquired in detail about sample section’s construction and layout. Mr. Yang was satisfied with Zizhu’s engineering progress, and appreciated the Scenic Ring’s functions as both sight and flood prevention.

The sample section of Scenic Ring was formally open to traffic after 5-month construction on 15th Jan., 2004, which is the symbol that 1st ecological green section of Huangpu River Coastwise has been completed.

With the further knowledge of the sample section, Mr. Yang hoped that with innovative thinking & more advanced concept, Zizhu can keep on making efforts to make the construction of Zizhu’ s Scenic Ring a higher grade.
