Gong Zheng, the deputy secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the acting mayor, visited Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University and Shanghai Zizhu High-Tech Industrial Development Park on July 2, 2020, saying that the colleges and universities is intertwined with the urban development. He hopes that the universities and Zizhu High-Tech Park, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, can make joint efforts with Shanghai in carrying out national strategies, promoting science and technology innovation and achievements transformation, agglomerating and cultivating first-class talents and building Shanghai into an ecological city of innovation and humanity. Deputy Mayor Chen Qun, the Party Secretary Yang Zhenbin of Shanghai Jiaotong University and President Lin Zhongqin participated in the research.

As the only national High-tech Park with private enterprises as the main developer, Zizhu Hi-tech Park’s tax revenue rose in the first five months of this year. Gong Zheng encourages Zizhu Hi-tech Park to give full play to its strengths and find a new path in the development. The leaders then visited Coca-Cola Beverages (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and inspected the concentrate plant, saying that Shanghai Municipal Government would actively foster a better environment for companies of all kinds to grow in Shanghai.
