But several days ago, when the reporter came to Shanghai Zizhu Science Park, which located at south of Minhang District, the feeling is totally different, it is such a big ecotypic park.
The Rounding Road is a “Guests-Welcome Road”, two sides of it are camphor with faint scent. On the 4-driveway road, there leave unstinted space for footpath. In the future, one of the roadsides will be a virescence line with Gardenia, Spring Flowers and etc. ; on the other side, which is near Xinfengjing Thruway, a sloping field is going to be built in order to reduce noises, there will be metasequoia, gingko, sweet-scented osmanthus, redbud, purple osmund and other plants.
In Zizhu Park, you can see a lot of green and water. If you walk around the big park, you will see bridges and glide at times. On the 10-meter wide riverside, where the “Near Water Platform” shows originality, and people can take a walk on this cobble pathway.
From the very beginning of the programming, “Ecology, Humanity, Technology” is the basic construction concept of Zizhu, because a surpassingly designed science park should harmoniously combine human and nature. The man in charge of the park told reporter that in order to create a comfortable scientific research environment, the ecology construction fee often “over budget”.
There are 3 functional areas in Zizhu, they are University Area, R&D Base and Pujinag Forest Peninsula. On the boundaries between those areas, stiff bounding walls will be replace by green line or river, so that the whole circumstance will not be destroyed. “Having light mood, science and technology personnel can create more inspiration”
Say “No” to A Multinational Magnate
Famous organizations have already pay attention on Zizhu, since it is such a well-planned science park. Many industrial’s leaders have chosen Zizhu, such as： National Veterinary R&D Center, National Nanotech research Base, National Organic Chemical Research Institute, Shanghai WicreSoft (invested by MicroSoft) and United Platform Technologies Limited (investment total amount is 90 millions USD).
To all science park, attracting investment is the most important part of company operation. But reporter found surprisingly that Zizhu say no with gentle words to many companies, which ask to enter Zizhu on their own initiative.
“Zizhu aims at those new industrial fields, such as： digital technology, micro-electronics, photoelectron, nano-tech, life science and etc. Therefore, we will not destroy ecology, confuse functional orientation and influence long-term park development just for ’keeping clients’. ”.
A famous MNC came with attracting investment capital, but when it is found a Chemistry Industry and making pollution to environments, Zizhu refused it; a national famous cosmetic company came and gave favorable conditions, but Zizhu also refused it for it is not fit for the whole park master plan.
Is “strict” marketing concept an obstacle for Zizhu? Let’s see some numbers： Only first five months of this year, accumulative total investment capital in Zizhu is over 2 hundred million USD, which breaks two records in Minhang District, they are Accumulative Total Foreign Investment and Monocase Capital. In addition, National Organic Chemical Research Institute, which is going to set up a Hatch Center in Zizhu, won National Science First Prize, and this prize have waited for its owner for 4 years; Hanxin Semiconductor (already registered in Zizhu) has successfully developed “Hanxin No.1 DSP Chip” with the first independent property right in China. This result is a symbol of breaking the imported DSP Chip monopolization.
