With a registered capital of USD 160,520,000, Intel (China) Co., Ltd, located in Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park, was approved as a state-level regional headquarters. This marks Intel’s determination to take Shanghai and Zizhu Park as its most important base in China in the context of economic crisis.

Since its settlement in Zizhu Park in 2005, Intel has made great contributions in terms of promoting regional economic development, training local R&D and innovation talents and participating in social activities. Leaders of Shanghai Municipal Government and Minhang District Government were very concerned about the progress of Intel project and repeatedly visited Intel R&D Center. To enhance investment and operational capability in China, Intel increased 110 million U.S. dollars in early 2009. In addition, Intel reached an agreement with Zizhu Park to purchase land for its R&D base (Phase 3) to optimize its investment structure in the Park.

Intel China Regional Headquarters, R&D base and its innovation center are all located at Shanghai Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park.  With a view to promoting the rapid and all-round development of Intel, Zizhu Park creates a sound investment environment for Intel, including excellent infrastructures, abundant human resources and high quality services. The establishment of Intel Regional Headquarters indicates its recognition of Zizhu Park. It will also greatly push forward Intel’s further development in Shanghai as well as in China.
